一、Organization

In order to strengthen the leadership,
our company established the environmental protection committee
with the members including main leaders and leaders from
function department. There also established the environmental
protection office, with the specialists to handle the
environmental protection work of our whole company.
In order to enforce the management of internal environment
and to establish a full environmental protection system,
our company launched more than 400,000 yuan to build the
environmental monitoring station and measuring which could
monitor the waste water, waste gas, noises and other related
items, and allocated advanced environmental monitoring
equipment and high quality professionals to the station.
It could supply more than 5000 data each year. Besides
this, in order to keep the unimpeded running of the company
environmental management system, our company has appointed
part time employees and liaison men to handle the environmental
protection and coordinate the relationships during the
work. Our company established effectively running networks. |

二、Environmental
protection measures

Yueyang Paper Group always attach
importance to environmental protection. These years, (especially
the leaders’ group leading by Mr. Wangxiang) our company
positively followed the calling of Party Central Committee
and State Council, launched a great sum of money to treat
the old pollution, prevent the new pollution. During the
process of new project, we adhere to the “ three same
times” and “ news promote the olds”, relying on the technique
promotion, gradually adopted the international advanced
cleaning process.
In 2001, launched 3,500,000 yuan to build the white
sludge recovery system.
In 2002, launched 6 million yuan to build a electrical
dust cleaner for 5# boiler for power station, which meet
the requirement of environmental protection development.
Up to now, the rebuilding work is almost finished.
2002, launch 12million RMB in the white water recycle
system as implementing facilities for 120,000t/a paper
machine
2003, launch 20million RMB in coal ash comprehensive
utilization project, which is now under construction.
In order to decrease the pollution during the production
and save water, now more than 85million RMB has been injected
in water-saving rebuilding project, which is expected
to be finished by June, 2004.
2003, we will start biological electricity generation
project, we plan to launch 70 million RMB to establish
a set of heat supplying and electricity generation system
which matches the international advanced level. This system
will handle the solid waste of our company.
In fact, so far, our company’s total investment in environmental
protection exceeds 300million RMB. By the end of this
year, the investment will be close to 400 million RMB.

Each year, powder coal
ash system treats dry ash 20,000 tons, wet ash 100,000
tons. In order to achieve the fully use of the powder
coal ash, our company has injected more than 20million
RMB to establish ash storage chest, and 300,000t/a cement
project.
